The IHSAA has created a new consent to participate form for the 2020-21 season. Among the changes are questions about Covid-19 and new requirements for who must have a new physical to participate. ALL athletes who plan to participate in a sport during the 2020-21 school year must fill out a new consent form. If an athlete has a physical on file from the 2019-20 school year they do not need a new physical UNLESS, they had a surgical procedure performed since their last physical OR have been diagnosed with a concussion since the date of the last physical. Please follow the link below or you may find it in the Quick Links section of our website.

So Long and Welcome
lpyAfter years and years of time in the cafeteria with a microphone, I had been planning to do a literal mic drop for my 8th graders at the end of their final middle school lunch period and the start of my retirement. So much for those plans...I have 40 years in education, 34 years in Pike schools, and 25 years at New Augusta North. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a Lincoln Lion, New Augusta Phoenix, and a Pike Red Devil, and I have had the privilege and honor to work with wonderful students and parents and some of the finest coaches and fellow educators. I wish our departing 8th graders nothing but the best as they head on to high school academic, athletic, and extra-curricular endeavors. I wish them nothing but the best as they grow to be leaders off the courts
and playing fields and beyond the school walls.

Moving into the New Augusta North athletic director's position will be Mr. Jimmy Johnson, most recently our
7th grade social studies teacher. He will be introducing himself to our returning and incoming student-athletes
and their families here on this page and via other media. Please give him a fantastic Phoenix welcome!
