Fall Sports Athletic Parents/Guardians- as the season begins we will provide information regarding ticketing information, schedule changes or other important information as soon as we have the information. Please be patient as we continue to face another sports season impacted by Covid-19 and embark on our new ticketing platform
7th/8th grade Boys’ Basketball Open Gyms/Tryouts- The following dates have been set for boys’ basketball open gyms and tryouts. Any 7th and 8th grade boy interested must sign up at the following link found on our website in order to participate. Players must be picked up promptly at 5:30. If a player signed up for the first open gym they do not need to sign up for the any others. They are on the list. The boys should use their Pike Google Account to sign up. Thursday September 30th 4-5:30pm
Monday October 4th 4-5:30pm
Tryouts for boys’ basketball will be held the week of October 4th after the last football game. 7th graders will tryout on Wednesday, October 6th and Friday, October 8th after school until 6pm. 8th graders will tryout on Monday, October 11th and Tuesday, October 12th. In order to tryout all players must follow the guidelines below. If they already have a physical on file the 2021-22 school year they will not need a new one. Parents must also complete the following form before tryouts begin:

Football/Cheer-This week the 8th grade will play at home on Thursday, September 30th v Eastwood. Tickets will be available 24 hours before the game at the following link New Augusta North v Eastwood Ticket Link . The 7th grade will not play this week as Eastwood does not have the numbers for a 7th grade team. If a game becomes available that information will be sent out as soon it is available.
Volleyball- The 7th and 8th grade will host Guion Creek MS on Monday, the 27th at 5:15. The link to purchase tickets is New Augusta v Guion Creek Volleyball Ticket Link. The team will travel to Raymond Park on Tuesday the 28th at 5:30. Raymond Park is cash at the door. The MIIC Tournament begins on Thursday at Center Grove. As soon as information is available for that it will be sent out as teams qualifying for the tournament will not be final until Tuesday. Our 8th grade has locked in a spot but a time and location has not been set.
Girls Cross Country- (Grades 6-8) Boys Cross Country- (Grades 6-8) – The Cross Country teams will compete on the Pike High School Course located at Eastbrook Elementary on Tuesday, the 28th. The girls’ race will start at approximately 5:15. There is no charge for this event. The teams will compete in the Marion County Championship Meet Saturday at Speedway HS. Information and schedule are as follows:
Spectator admission will be $5 for all adults and students. NO PASSES OF ANY KIND WILL BE ACCEPTED
RUNNING EVENT ORDER:
Boys Tennis- (Grades 6-8) – tennis will host Southport on Tuesday the 28th for their last match of the season.
Boys and Girls Soccer- boys and girls soccer is a district team that is housed at Guion Creek Middle School. Teams have been set and parents should contact Jonathan Dawkins, the Athletic Director at Guion Creek at Jodawkins@pike.k12.in.us for schedule and practice questions. A late bus will continue to be provided for transport to GCMS for practice and games.
Physicals – Every athlete trying out for a sport must complete the following steps in order to participate in the tryouts.
Any athlete wishing to participate in a sport for the 2021-22 school year must turn in an IHSAA Physical Form. When completed the form can be turned in 3 ways.
Activity Registration- all athletes must be registered in order to participate. Click on the following link to begin the registration process as a new or returning user. Activity Registration Link
