      New Augusta North Athletics Weekly Update

Fall Sports Athletic Parents/Guardians- as the season begins we will provide information regarding ticketing information, schedule changes or other important information as soon as we have the information. Please be patient as we continue to face another sports season impacted by Covid-19 and embark on our new ticketing platform

Football-This week’s the 8th grade will play at home v Raymond Park on Thursday, September 16th. Tickets will be available 24 hours prior to the game at the following link: 8th Grade Football v RP Ticket Link The 7th grade will play at Raymond Park on Thursday as well. Tickets are cash only at the gate and game time will be 5:45.  

Volleyball- The 7th and 8th-grade teams travel to Franklin Central MS on Tuesday the 14th and then to Raymond Park on Thursday the 16th. Both games will be 5:45 starts due to travel time issues. Tickets for Franklin Central will be digital and the link is as follows Franklin Central VB Tickets Link. Tickets for Raymond Park will be cash only at the gate

Girls Cross Country- (Grades 6-8) Boys Cross Country- (Grades 6-8) – The boys and girls Cross Country teams will be hosting Fall Creek Valley on Wednesday 9-15. The start time will be 5:30. Tickets will be $5 per car and please enter at the drive located between NAN and NAS. Here is the ticket link:

On Saturday the 18th the teams will travel to Raymond Park MS for the MIIC Conference Meet. Admission is $5 per person cash only.

Here is the schedule for the meet:

8:15 AM Coaches Meeting

9:00 AM Girls Varsity Race (top 10 Varsity runners Grades 6, 7, and 8)

9:30 AM Boys Varsity Race (top 10 Varsity runners Grades 6, 7, and 8)

10:00 AM Girls Reserve Race (top 10 Reserve runners)

10:30 AM Boys Reserve Race (top 10 Reserve runners)

Boys Tennis- (Grades 6-8) – tennis will host Lincoln on 9-14 and Zionsville West on 9-16. They will compete in the MIIC conference meet on Saturday the 18th. Seeds and match times will be made available later this week.

Boys and Girls Soccer- boys and girls soccer is a district team that is housed at Guion Creek Middle School.  Teams have been set and parents should contact Jonathan Dawkins, the Athletic Director at Guion Creek at Jodawkins@pike.k12.in.us for schedule and practice questions. A late bus will continue to be provided for transport to GCMS for practice and games.

7th/8th grade Boys’ Basketball Open Gyms/Tryouts- The following dates have been set for boys’ basketball open gyms and tryouts. Any 7th and 8th grade boy interested must sign up at the following link found on our website in order to participate. Players must be picked up promptly at 5:30. If a player signed up for the first open gym they do not need to sign up for any others. They are on the list. The boys should use their Pike Google Account to sign up.  Boys Basketball Sign Up Form

Tryouts for boys’ basketball will be held the week of October 4th after the last football game. 7th graders will tryout on Wednesday, October 6th and Friday, October 8th after school until 6pm. 8th graders will tryout on Monday, October 11th and Tuesday, October 12th. In order to tryout all players must follow the guidelines below. If they already have a physical on file the 2021-22 school year they will not a new one. Parents should also complete the following form before tryouts begin:

Physicals – Every athlete trying out for a sport must complete the following steps in order to participate in the tryouts.

Any athlete wishing to participate in a sport for the 2021-22 school year must turn in an IHSAA Physical Form. When completed the form can be turned in 3 ways.

Activity Registration- all athletes must be registered in order to participate. Click on the following link to begin the registration process as a new or returning user. Activity Registration Link

      • Please fill out all sections. Physicals may be uploaded directly on Step 4 of the registration process.
